Frequently Asked Questions
Who should take this course?
Engineers targeting Backend/PD domain jobs; those wanting to shift profile from another domain to Physical Design; working professionals with gaps in PD knowledge; engineers using Synopsys tools who want to understand industry-standard methodology; and anyone preparing for an experienced-level PD interview.
Is this placement-oriented?
No. This is a Level 2 upskilling program. We can assist or refer profiles to companies where we get requests, but placement assurance is not part of this program. For the placement-oriented program see Foundation of VLSI Design.
What tools will I get access to?
You get individual 24×7 Synopsys tool access throughout the training — Design Compiler (DC), IC Compiler II (ICC2) and PrimeTime (PT). Tool access is provided from the first week.
What if I miss a session?
No problem. Missed sessions are recorded and available on our online platform for review as many times as needed (lifetime access, default 10 years). The instructor won't be available for queries on recordings, but doubt-solving sessions are scheduled.
What certificate do I get?
Course completion certificate issued by VLSI EXPERT Private Limited. Labs and project work are part of the assessment for certification.
What are the qualification requirements?
Working professionals, B.Tech final year or passout, M.Tech 1st year, 2nd year or passout. Contact us to check eligibility for other profiles.
