What's Included

Everything to run a workshop.

Pulsar EVKs
One EVK per 2 participants (or 1:1 for premium batch). USB cable and quick-start guide included with each unit.
👨‍🏫
Expert Trainer
VLSI EXPERT trained faculty delivers the workshop at your campus or online. Neuromorphic computing + Talamo SDK + hands-on labs.
📋
Lab Manual
Structured lab exercises for each session. Students build and deploy a real SNN model on Pulsar hardware by end of Day 1.
🎓
Certificates
Joint certificate from VLSI EXPERT and the host institution on completion. Synopsys joint certification available for qualifying programs.
📦
Pre-installed Software
Talamo SDK pre-configured. Students start coding on Day 1 without setup delays. Windows and Linux supported.
🔄
Post-Workshop EVK Retention
Option to retain the EVK units after the workshop for continued student use in labs. Priced separately.

Who Books This

Workshop kit is designed for three audiences.

Engineering Colleges — Student Workshops
Final year ECE/EEE students getting hands-on exposure to neuromorphic AI before placement season. Most popular as a 2-day event during technical festivals or dedicated skill programs.
Faculty Development Programs (FDP)
Faculty who want to learn and teach neuromorphic computing. The workshop kit delivers the same hands-on content to faculty so they can run future workshops themselves.
Corporate R&D Teams
Engineering teams evaluating neuromorphic technology for product applications. A 1–2 day intensive helps the team quickly assess fit before committing to a full evaluation program.
Government & Defence Labs
DRDO, CDAC, SAC and similar labs exploring edge AI for embedded systems. Workshop kit provides structured introduction to neuromorphic architecture without a long procurement process.
// chip analogy

Why workshops matter more than lectures.

// simulation vs silicon
"You can simulate a timing path in PrimeTime on paper and understand the concept. But running PrimeTime on a real netlist — watching the slack numbers change as you adjust the clock constraint — is how the concept actually lands. The same principle applies here. A lecture about spiking neural networks gives you vocabulary. Running one on a real Pulsar chip gives you intuition. The workshop kit exists because intuition is what you take into a job interview."
FAQ

Common Questions

Do students need any prior knowledge of AI or neuromorphic computing?
No. The 1-day and 2-day formats are designed for students with basic electronics or programming background. The 3-day intensive assumes some familiarity with neural network concepts.
Can the workshop be conducted online?
Yes — we can ship EVK units to participants before the workshop and deliver training live online. Hardware is couriered at least 1 week before the session.
What happens to the EVKs after the workshop?
Kits can be retained by the institution at an additional cost, or returned to VLSI EXPERT. We recommend institutions retain at least a few units for continued student use.
Can we get a joint certificate with our institution name?
Yes — joint certificates with the host institution's name are standard for all on-campus workshops. A three-way certificate (Institution + Innatera + VLSI EXPERT) is available for qualifying programs.
