Who This Is For

Institutions building lasting capability.

ECE / EEE Departments
Departments wanting to add neuromorphic computing as a lab subject or elective. The bundle provides everything — hardware, curriculum, faculty capability — to start teaching in the next semester.
Centre of Excellence (CoE)
Institutions setting up a Centre of Excellence in VLSI or Edge AI. The neuromorphic lab bundle is a cornerstone component — real silicon, structured curriculum, ongoing industry support.
Research Labs
University research groups working on edge AI, embedded systems or bio-inspired computing. The institutional bundle provides a stable hardware and software platform for multi-year research programs.
Government AICTE / NPIU Programs
Institutions receiving AICTE or NPIU funding for lab upgrades. The neuromorphic lab bundle meets the criteria for modern computing labs and comes with full documentation for grant compliance.
// chip analogy

Why silicon in the lab matters more than slides.

// standard cell vs real silicon
"A standard cell library characterization document tells you what a flip-flop's setup time is. But it is only when students run actual timing analysis on a real synthesized netlist that the number means something — that they understand why it matters and what happens when it is violated. The same is true for neuromorphic computing. A lab with real Pulsar hardware converts neuromorphic from an abstract concept into something students have touched, programmed and debugged. That is the difference between knowing and understanding."
FAQ

Common Questions

Can we get AICTE / NPIU documentation for the purchase?
Yes — VLSI EXPERT provides full purchase documentation, GST invoice, product specifications and institutional MoU documents that meet AICTE and NPIU lab upgrade requirements.
Do we need existing VLSI labs or infrastructure?
No special infrastructure needed. Students need a laptop with USB port. All software (Talamo SDK) is pre-configured and runs on Windows and Linux. Setup time per workstation is under 30 minutes.
How long is the FDP (faculty training)?
2 days on-campus. Faculty complete the same hands-on labs as students would, with additional pedagogical guidance on how to run the lab independently going forward.
What happens after the first year?
Annual support is renewable. It includes curriculum updates, software version upgrades and one refresher session. Institutions can also expand their EVK count as their program grows.
Can this be combined with a broader VLSI EXPERT MoU?
Yes — many institutions combine the neuromorphic lab bundle with a broader VLSI EXPERT collaboration covering Physical Design and Verification training as well. Reach out to discuss bundled institutional packages.
